Trend Report: Big Hair

Personally, I have ALWAYS been a huge fan of big hair, so I am more than thrilled about it coming back in a big way! Every huge fashion icon has sported the big hair, and let’s face it they all look amazing with the big hair! One of my top inspirations has always been Fran Fine aka the nanny!

 I just am in love with her huge hair styles—not to mention all of her fabulous tiny outfits! Here are some of my other favorite icons sporting their gorgeous locks:

Brigitte Bardot--now there's some teasing
Audrey never could do anything wrong...

Farrah Fawcett's locks we all still lust after

Angelina has the right idea
Lovin Jessica here
Jane Fonda looking fine in barbarella
And some more great Hair....

and again

And me with big hair before a fashion show…

I actually did this myself…

So moral of the blog...go big or go home:)

Recent Purchases—I can’t resist a good sale:)

This weekend I was re-united with my old roomy and we had a marvelous time together! It was so nice we even had a chance to walk on the beach—in skirts/tanks and NOT freeze! It was amazing. Just made me even more anxious for summer to hurry up and get here! In anticipation of the coming warmer days I bought 2 bathing suits from Vicky’s and made a few other purchases along the way during our shopping exhibition to King of Prussia mall.

My Anthro purchases:

Love this Blazer--got it for only $30 (originally $128!)
And my FAVORITE purchase of the day:
A perfect combination of all my favorites: purple, suede, heels ahhh!

And a pretty top...

And my Sephora purchases:
NYX black eyeliner (just because I go through it like water)
make up pads
covergirl mascara--not my fav.
Replenshment of BareMinerals

I'm  thinking of posting my favorite make up/skin/hair products soon. stay tuned, and thank you for following:)

Until next time,
~~~Jewel~~~
A beautiful day
The other day I was walking through Rittenhouse square after doing a little shopping--leaving none other than Anthropologie--when I stopped to look around. It was around 70 degrees and absolutely gorgeous--I didn't have a lot of time as I was rushing off to meet a friend for a lunch rendezvous, but I quickly snapped this photo and thought I'd share it with you. Here's to warmer days and summer clothes!
Summer is the time when one sheds one's tensions with one's clothes, and the right kind of day is jeweled balm for the battered spirit.  A few of those days and you can become drunk with the belief that all's right with the world.  ~Ada Louise Huxtable
Perfumesssssssss:)
Since I have a beyond obsession with perfumes I thought I'd do a post on it and share with you some of my favorites from my collection:)
One of my most signature scents would be I Love Love Cheap and Chic by Moschino. It smells very similar to Light Blue by Dolce and Gabbana but it's a bit lighter and more citrusy(made that one up:)
Probably my second favorite would be Reese Witherspoon's scent "In Bloom" for Avon--not usually a huge fan of their scents, but this one is AMAZING! It has notes of magnolia, lush florals, gardenia blossoms, and peach tea leaves that will have you wanting more--plus it actually LASTS--and it comes in the most darling bottle (I'm a huge sucker for these:)
In third place comes "Angel" by Thierry Mugler. I ALWAYS notice when another woman is wearing this and if I'm not that day I instantly wish I was--this is another classic I will probably never get tired of and continue to replenish! It is sexy, rich, and flat out addictive!
For special occasions where I want to feel confident and sexy I wear "Pure Poison" by Dior. I LOVE LOVE this one and will only allow myself to wear it on special occasions--well I TRY anyway:)
And the last one I will list as one of my "staple fragrances" (as hard as it is to narrow down to just 5!) is Ed Hardy by Christian Audigier. It is a deliciously compelling scent with fruity notes and undertones of warmth--I like to wear this on a nice day, lunch with the girls, or just wherever I feel like being girly/flirty/fun.
Some other of my favorites that you will find floating around in my car/purse/bedroom include: "J'adore" by Dior, "The Fragrance" by Victoria's Secret, "Weekend" by Burberry, "Covet:pure bloom" by Sarah Jessica Parker, "Pink" by Victoria's Secret, "Very Sexy" by Victoria's Secret, "Be Delicious" by DKNY, "Guess Gold" by Guess, and "Pacific Paradise" by Escada...
My current wishlist:
"Lady Million" by Paco Rabanne (I REALLY want this one)
"Daisy" by Marc Jacobs
"Chance" by Chanel (pink one)
"Envy Me" Gucci (need more)
I blame this partially on all of the little samples Sephora's always send with your order (as much as I love them:) If you have any ideas of where/how to get the best deals on any of these I'd love to hear them:)
A little too obsessed? I think not. A girl can never smell too good:) What are some of your "staple" or favorite fragrances? Or even on your wishlist?
Hair
Okay, so you've probably noticed by now that I change my hair quite often--style/cut/length/color--etc. if it's an option I'll try it! I thought I'd seek the help of you all in advice for a new hairstyle/cut/color! And, OF COURSE, I'll be posting the (hopefully) lovely results! Right now it's shorter (trying to grow it out, but open to cutting) darker, and straight. --As seen below:
Dumb cell phone pic while driving haha.
And here is a little compilation of photos of the majority of my different hair styles/cuts/colors...I even had a wave perm before...decisions, decisions....
And yes...if you're wondering...there is a pic of me with bright red hair...not a good look...or the bangs...
So please, I beg of you, help me decide! haha! What hair style do you like best? Or would you like to see me try? I'd love to hear! This is one style I was considering (not the curls put in just the color):
Excited to hear all your feedback on this:) I love reading each and every comment!
Until next time,
~~~Jewel~~~

The Bounty Hunter

Hello new followers:) I have now gotten into the "double digits" so thank you for that--is it sad that I'm excited about this? haha! So, not sure how many of you have seen "The Bounty Hunter" with Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler(gorgeous!!), but I thought I'd do a post on when I was an extra on set! I worked in A.C. at the time and was asked to be in the background as myself aka a waitress--it's the chase scene so I'm simply a blurry background haha, but it was fun all the same! And I must say Aniston is quite stunning in person--I wouldn't say the most beautiful from pictures,but in person--beautiful! Anyway here are the low quality photos I managed to snap while we were in between filming:)

Aniston going by in the cart...they did this about a hundred times...

Aniston's extra did it for the first 50takes or so before they used Jen--later her extra ate at our restaurant and I think she convinced herself she's also famous haha!

The set....

It started raining and they freaked out....as you can see...lol

But she was just smiling and relaxing...

Anyway, the whole experience was a lot of fun and the easiest $100 I've ever made, and despite the fact that I'm still not famous--totally kidding I would never want(/can't) to act--it was worth it:)

Until next time,
~~~Jewel~~~
